In the fall of 2001, a group of recent college grads who had no idea what they wanted to do with their lives, decided to take a roadtrip to figure it out. To share this experience the group filmed the entire experience.

Roadtrip Nation has ignited a movement on campuses across the country, where students hit the road in several green RVs to interview their own list of leaders from various industries. The result is an annual PBS television series of 12 half-hour episodes.
With three crews shooting over 1,400 hours of footage each summer, Roadtrip Nation puts PIX Project through its paces organizing, sharing, and managing this huge amount of material, and getting it edited together to meet deadlines.
“PIX allows us to upload all the different cuts and allows everyone who needs to see them, to see them quickly,” says Blake Hodges, editor and music supervisor.
“The killer thing with PIX is we’re able to do it all instantaneously,” says Nathan Gebhard, editor and RN co-founder. “It means we can use our limited resources more productively. It means coming out with a much better product at a cost which we can afford.”
