Eric Dachs, CEO
As Founder and CEO of PIX System, LLC, Eric oversees all company operations, product design, and business development. Before developing the PIX application, Eric worked as a Sound Designer and Editor in the film industry for over 8 years on such films as The Sixth Sense, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Chocolat, Autumn in New York, Ambush and Panic Room.
Eric is a graduate of Wesleyan University with a BA in Theater.
Larry Schalit, Senior Vice President
Larry oversees Account Development. He has over 20 years of experience in the film, television, and music industries in various positions including Sound Engineer, Mixer, and Producer. Larry has worked as a Sound Editor or Supervising Sound Editor on such films as The Talented Mr. Ripely, K-19: The Widowmaker, Office Space, Fight Club, Envy, Autumn in New York, and many more.
Larry has been featured in articles for Mix, Post, & Digital Cinema magazines, and has written for the Editors Guild magazine.
Mark S. Coyle, PhD, Vice President, Products
Mark oversees all aspects of product development at PIX, including Operations, QA, Development, and Product Management. Prior to joining PIX, Mark was Vice President at Oracle Corp, where he managed several areas within the Fusion application suite. Prior to Oracle, Mark held senior management and technical positions in core engineering at Siebel Systems and was responsible for many of Siebel's core technologies, including its object management and replication frameworks, enterprise application integration and web service frameworks, and its mobile infrastructures. Mark has also held technical positions prior to his role at Siebel in Oracle's database kernel group, IBM TJ Watson Research Lab, and Hewlett Packard Research Labs. Mark holds several patents in the areas of distributed systems, enterprise applications, and enterprise application integration.
Mark holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota, and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley.
Bryce Yan, PhD, Director of QA and IT Operations
Bryce is responsible for all Quality Assurance, Data Center Operations, and Information Technology activities for the company. Over the last twelve years in the software industry, Bryce has worked in several areas including software development, functional testing, performance, scalability, and reliability engineering, and data center operations. Prior to joining PIX System, Bryce was the Director of Quality Engineering at SignalDemand where he created the QA department and built the company's data center. Prior to that, Bryce was the founding member of the System Testing team at Salesforce.com where he worked on numerous high-availability and other infrastructure projects. Bryce has also held a number of senior technical roles at Siebel Systems including Senior Engineering Manager and Director of Quality Assurance.
Bryce holds a PhD degree in Physics from UCLA and a BA degree in Physics from UC Berkeley.
Amir Borna, Director of Product Management
Amir is responsible for Design and Management of the PIX Product line. Prior to PIX, Amir designed and managed products for 20+ years in Enterprise Collaboration, Consumer Social Networking, Desktop Publishing, Online Trading and Mobile Devices.
Most recently, Amir delivered multiple applications for Facebook as Chief Product Officer of Plum. Additionally, he delivered a social trip planner for ViaMichelin of France with 24 million unique visitors. In 2005 Amir founded Copole, Inc. where he developed patent pending social networking features for email. For Oracle, he designed next generation collaboration software, holding the position of Director, Product Management. Before Oracle, Amir was the Vice President of Engineering for Intelligent Markets, Inc. where he developed a bond trading platform for Merrill Lynch. In his early career, he worked on the Tablet PC for Xerox/Uppercase and spent 8 years with Adobe working on Acrobat technology.
Amir holds an MS in Computer Engineering from Santa Clara University and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Technical University of Vienna, Austria.
